Ethical Policy

Ethics Policy
International Insights Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IIJMR) is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics. The journal strictly adheres to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects every author, reviewer, and editor to maintain transparency, honesty, and accountability throughout the research and publishing process.
Ethical Considerations are central to our publishing philosophy. All research data must be original, accurate, and free from any form of fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting. Manuscripts involving human participants or animals are required to include a clear statement of ethical approval from the relevant Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee, mentioning the approval number and date in the Methods or Declarations section. Informed consent must be obtained from all participants (or their legal guardians) and properly documented. Authors are obligated to disclose any potential conflicts of interest — financial, personal, institutional, or intellectual — in a dedicated Declarations section. Funding sources and acknowledgements must also be reported transparently. Any violation of these ethical standards will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and may lead to formal notification of the authors’ affiliated institutions.
The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and duplicate publication. Every submitted manuscript undergoes thorough screening using advanced plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin and iThenticate. The acceptable similarity index is strictly limited to 15% (excluding references and appropriately cited text). Authors must ensure complete originality of their work and provide accurate citations and references for all sources used. Proper paraphrasing and the use of quotation marks for direct quotes are mandatory. Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism will be rejected outright. In serious cases, authors may be blacklisted from future submissions and their institutions may be informed.
Copyright & Licensing Policy requires authors to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement upon acceptance of their manuscript. This agreement transfers the copyright of the work to the journal, granting IIJMR exclusive rights to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in all formats worldwide. However, authors retain important non-exclusive rights, including the use of the article for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. They may also share the final published version on their personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic platforms such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu, provided the full citation and DOI are included. Any commercial use of the article requires prior written permission from the Editor-in-Chief. All published articles are protected under international copyright laws to ensure their integrity and proper dissemination.
